The Lonely Night Poem by Sandra Feldman

The Lonely Night

In the night I roam,
In the black, alone,
With no affection,
To call my own,
An empty log,
Flowing down in pain,
Down a lonely river,
Silently, forgotten
In the frigid rain,
The water is shallow,
The night without stars,
And I keep wondering,
Where you are,
Alone, I slowly,
Close my eyes,
Trying in vain,
To restrain my cries.

Very touching! Having no affection to share or to feel as one's own makes life miserable! Next time when you walk in the night, look at the sky and enjoy the cerulean panorama stretching endless over your head and the stars that shimmer here and there! Definitely the change from a gray sky with no stars to a clear, star studded sky will excite and surprise you.... I guarantee!
