As I swim halfway across the living hope
I listen to the chains of life whisper to my soul,
they suggest to me that I am not alone in my quest
to reach my final goal, for there will exist
one final stone before we can all come at peace
with our own soul.
As I reach the other side I realize,
that hope lies on the other side
so I cross once more the living hope
and once more I listen in my thoughts to
those chains which seem to tie my passing soul.
And I decide once again to reach my goal,
by trying to avoid that last stone,
but deep inside my conscience knows
that I will never reach my goal,
by trying to cheat my very soul.
