The Little Troll Poem by Juan Olivarez

The Little Troll

The little troll under the bridge
was hiding from the wicked witch.
that wanted for her very own,
the little troll's ice cream cone.

he saw her pass on the bridge above,
and knew in his heart he had no love,
for that mean old witch all grizzle and bone,
that wanted to eat his ice cream cone.

so he put a string across the bridge,
and called out to the wicked witch.
you want my cone well here it is,
it tastes so good it's utter bliss.

the wicked witch ran up the bridge,
drooling and slobbering that wicked witch.
her foot caught the string upon the bridge,
face first she went into the ditch.

the little troll stood back and smiled,
and licked his ice cream for a while,
and then he gave the witch a dime,
get tuti fruti it's sublime.
