The Line Poem by Pasquale DiMeola

The Line

It may have a beginning
It may have an end
It might be crossed by foe or friend

It has some significance
It really has none
Until you start what you begun

It's not perpendicular
It lies on the ground
It's weightless as sand pound for pound

It may lie falsely between
All words left unsaid
Unless it's align out of your head

It's horizontally drawn
So you won't get lost
A lifeline you may or may not cross.
