The Light That Remains Poem by Miss Print

The Light That Remains

Rating: 4.5

A long dark road awaits you
And darkens with time
Much light may accompany you at the starting line
But as you run on it fades
Your path Dims
But one light remains

You run on
Many of those whom you started with
Long since disappeared
Many lights continue to fade
But one light still remains

You have run too far
And much too long
You are out of breath
You are alone
All lights are gone
But one light remains

You veer off the path
And go to investigate the lone light
This light brings you to God, your savior
And then it is clear

To go on a lighter path
To a brighter future
He must walk by your side
He will be one with you
Even in your darkest hour
He will be the one light that remains

Beautiful piece of poetry, well articulated and nicely penned with spiritual insight. Indeed the light of God shines forever showing those that believe The Way. Thanks for sharing Miss. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.

Life is a hard road to walk.. filled with harsh moments and pain.. To be a believer is sort of a comfort & relief. I 'envy' believers.. Thanks for sharing, Miss Cheers
