The Light In Me Poem by Igor Wolfson

The Light In Me

'What am I doing? ', 'I have to let it go! '
Those types of thoughts I'm failing to hide from
This one bad feeling I'm trying to say: 'No! '
And just as it arives, you call, and it lets go

I'm not even your type, I think you're wasting time
Not mine, but yours. 'Cause you have conquered all my mind
In there, there's nothing that aint yours
For now the grief abides

Alive, in me, the shadows of affairs
I'm pretty sure it is not fair
And yet, I'm pretty sure I'll dare
To make you fall for this...

This useless piece of flesh and mind
That doesn't get to live
It's not that for myself I am not kind...
You are the only light my eyes can recieve
Without it I am blind
Without it I will leave
