The Life Of The Roses Poem by Eman Elbadawi

The Life Of The Roses

Rating: 5.0

...
And only if I could
Keep of the bud
Her innocence
Keep of the bloom
Her lively sense
And keep them both
When fading near comes
And bud and bloom more still
Just love the years all
For they are mine all
As dear.

If it be hard
Lend me a Hand!
Oh! Let me live a bunch of roses!
My only way
To feel the day is not
Just born to die
My only way
To love today
My way
To live!

An apparently simple but deeply philosophical poem. I like it.
