The Libertine Poem by Mary Grace

The Libertine

Rating: 5.0

You have dark eyes
No one should have
Graves with life-device
Everyone should love
And fall into

No one should pretend to look
Like you do, wear your face
In front of his he took
From a market place
To take it back there

Everyone should avert his gaze
Like you some days
Then crack the tragic face
In the boldest of ways
The devil may care

No one should have
A mirror then
Everyone would love
To death the man
In there

And died to grab
As much as he could out of life
To fill breath into every gap
And to fill every breath with life
Like you do!
