The Lepidoptera Of The Isthmus Of Beauty Poem by Chris Robideaux

The Lepidoptera Of The Isthmus Of Beauty

Rating: 5.0

Panama has lovely butterflies
And butterflies have lovely Panama;
Like the Blue-Patched Eyed-Metalmark
And the Three-Banded Crescent
And their sister legions who flit at Chiapas
In their overwintering fantasy; like the
Otherworldly blue of the Creon Skipper
And a Glasswing’s fragile dorsal fire,
The Banded Peacock hides other eyes,
As does the Milbert’s Tortoiseshell –
How it wears its ethereal pulchritude well!
Discover them here, or in your secret season’s heart,
For in these brightlove wingworlds
Such colors will an endless life impart.
