The Leaving Sea Poem by Alexis Sizer

The Leaving Sea

Losing it faster and faster than before,
From the cool nights wind that blows and blows,
Rising at its peak higher and higher,
Chilling…
Chilling bones,
Colder and colder now,
With all might and might’s must,
Through the winter winds dust,
This gust….
Chills me,
Chills me with dread, anger, and ferry.
This winds gust on this winter night must vanish,
For I my self will fallow the sea leaving,
Leaving life’s love, joy, and glee.
