The Leaves Turn Poem by Kurt Philip Behm

The Leaves Turn

Rating: 4.6

Growing simpler with
each passing year

The leaves turn
and my mind releases

Freeing what it’s taken
a lifetime to acquire

Freeing what only this moment
can understand

I was savoring the complexity of thought here, and contemplating how to make a comment to reflect what I was thinking. My eye wandered down to a comment on how simple this poem is! #%^*. I'm guessing my mind is simple, so I will simply kick back and thank you for making me think about freeing whatever I can understand.' Powerful thoughts, Kurt & I appreciate that you wrote them down. =: -)

Simple but significant. The philosophical perspective of this poem attracts me a lot. Here is a Bengali Translation of your poem. Thanks a lot, dear poet.
