The Leaves Are Falling Poem by norman hale

The Leaves Are Falling

The leaves are falling
The wind has a howl
Nature is moving about
More in the open now

The trees are swaying
Along with the breeze
It won't be long now
Until the ground will freeze

The farmers are moving
Getting their crops moved in
Hoping to beat the weather
One more year again

The shoppers are shopping
Trying to find a good price
Gathering things for the Holidays
Hoping things will turn out nice

The mowers are mowing
Their last cut of the year
Then they'll put them away
Until the following year

The gardners are rushing
To beat ol jack frost
For they know all too well
That it will be their loss

The children are playing
With laughter and cheer
They are all so happy
They started a new school year

The leaves are falling
The moon is standing still
Each night we can feel
The new autumns chill
