The Leap Into The Void Poem by Göran Gustafsson

The Leap Into The Void

I've been around most everywhere
And told what I should avoid
But never been to the bottom line
And never in the desert's void

The day I first laid eyes on her
I knew what I could not avoid
'Come, ' she said, 'and take my hand
I'll be your leap into the void'

The road was full of sorrow and strife
And burdens I could not avoid
'Come, ' she said, 'and walk with me
I'll be your leap into the void'

I laid my head to rest in the dark
And nightmares were hard to avoid
'Come in, ' she said, 'and dream with me
I'll be your leap into the void'
