The Leading Lady Poem by Hazel Durham

The Leading Lady

Rating: 5.0

The life giving sound of bees humming in the vivid yellow gorse,
The exhilarating sight of the Irish sea dazzling with the beauty of light,
Just it's natural source,
She walks with a powerful energy of her own inner force

To try and breakthrough the feeling of being an outcast,
She seeks the beauty in nature to find peace,
As adrenaline runs through her system so fast,
The sea speaks with loving gestures sharing all it's diverse complexities,

The sea makes her feel she will never be last
In life's race,
With the constant reminder of strife,
That niggles and trips her up in daily life,

The skies frown when she feels unhappy,
The skies smile when she is happy
Trees whisper sweet and tender words as the breeze rustles it's leaves.
The grass warms her bare feet as she thinks of her foes like thieves

That steal her sense of self worth
And the inner music dancing with her soul and heart,
Nature has embraced her differences and included her in their best part,
She is the leading lady of wild, open places,

Where her deep emotions blossom
As she feels the great warmth of nature's many faces.

An absolutely beautiful and inspiring poem! Indeed, Nature heals all emotional wounds; and the way emotions are blending with imagery in this poem is superb!

Nature comes to the aid of one who is cast away from the human society. She never feels lonely as the waves of the ocean sing to her and the wind whispers in her ears. Her inner strength is not drained by the adversities of life, on the other hand the strife of life has left her stronger and nature's balmy presence makes her forget all her wounds. The poem is vibrant with unflagging energy! Nature is presented in all its beauty here!

I always inhale your country's air and the fragrance of your country's vegetation. Thank you for bringing me to the emerald isle of yours.

Hazel, I wonder if you might want a slight edit to s4l3? You start the line with trees (plural) but end with the breeze rustling it's leaves. maybe, their leaves would be better or start the line with a single tree? Otherwise, a very descriptive and thought provoking g poem. Danny.
