The Last Prayer Poem by Bireswar Halder

The Last Prayer

I am tired to the dead, cannot walk fast, such a pain!
I've deviated from the right path and now rambling away
I am into a deep ditch, dark and full of infernal chaos
Oh Lord, please come to rescue me from this hell.

I don`t know when this tedious journey will be over
I do not know the real purpose of this cyclic journey
I am foolish and am responsible for these sufferings
Oh Lord, please save me and lead me out of this mess.

I love you too much and eagerly wait for your arrival
Whatever I have lost is only for my ignorance, none to blame
Whatever good I got only for your mercy, nothing else
Oh Lord, please come and show me the light to walk.

I know you are like an ocean of pity and compassion
I need no worldly pleasures which keep you away
You are a great donor and ready to fulfill all desires
Oh Lord, I am strayed and shower your blessings one last time.

I am a poor and do not have anything to offer or satisfy
My body, my soul and heart, everything I surrender to you
I am almost half dead, you accept my tears as only offerings
Oh Lord, please come for my liberation from this hellish journey.
