The Last Moment



AS she sat upon the river bank
She looked up in the sky
She said hello to death
And told her life good-bye.

She began to remember
Her short yet somewhat long life
She remembered of her dreams
Of becoming, someday, a wife.

She thought about her mother
ANd how she was always there
She thought about her sister
Who always seemed to care.

She thought about her best friend
And all that they'd been through
She thought about the bad times
And all the good times too.

She sighed one more time
and held the gun to her head
She closed her eyes and pulled the trigger
And now..........
