The Last Meet Poem by Tarun Prakash

The Last Meet

The wind was squalling fiercely
The sun sinking into the golden sea
Unusual sounds and disturbances prevalent everywhere
Along with feral shaking of each tree

The waves were rising higher
Making their presence feel
Requesting someone to come back
With their loud and clear appeal

The sand gave a pleasant smell
The melting sun brimming with hope
Amidst them stood a young boy
With a hard situation to cope

The boy was facing the grim feelings
Of the separation of his beloved one
For whom the tides were appealing
About whom spoke the sun

Every memory was a bed of thorns
And every thought of her pinched him
Trapped in the cyclone of love
Faced a pain unbearable and grim

But there was no sign of her
Nor did he expected it
But he couldn't break the shackles of
Something so intricately knit

As the sun sank down
He felt its hope losing
The winds getting quieter
And dark clouds cruising

Just then a sweet voice came from behind
Dulcetly calling out his name
His mind, body and soul centralized to
Right towards from where it came

For a moment he went numb
As he turned back to see her
His heart leapt with rejoice
And felt an elated pleasure

The nature god cried
Supernatural forces lamented
Bulky tears of clouds fell
The time also repented.

No moment can be beautiful as this
Being dismal at the same time
As if blues were played along with
Mellow symphony of wind chimes

The event was saudadic
Its emotions were unheard
When they just stared each other
Without exchanging a word

They spoke with their eyes
Their hearts rejected to beat
As they were also crying
During their last meet
