***the Last Leaf Of My Lonely Night*** Poem by Raju Baruah

***the Last Leaf Of My Lonely Night***

Rating: 2.8

I climbed with a candle
To see the ray of your eyes

No doors were open
Not even a window

The lock
Which I have lost the key was dancing with a smile
In that lonely night

I have lost the roots
I have lost the rout

The leaves of memory were falling beside like a
threads less kite
No one is there to picked up
Not even me

I am in search of your eyes
Where i kept my broken ships

The soundless sound of melancholy
The string less guitar of your heart
The trembling lips of wind
Gradually swallowed me up
Like a python of the dark

With a solitary bee
Under a solitary tree
I buried
The last leaf of my lonely night.

Intense imagery and the theme of the lonely night are beautifully portrayed.
