The Last Fight Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

The Last Fight

There must be
The last fight
Often
We
In
Our youth
Laugh
Say:
‘That's far away'

But
Time catches us
As pass
Day after day
And
No longer
So far away
Be the day
At the last
In the last!

And
The fight then
Comes
The result
Be always relative
Now
You win relative
Now
You lose relative
Now
You be just bruised
But
Whatever be
Day after day
The clock irresistible
Ticks irreversible
And
Arrived we
At the day!
