today I got out of the house
equipped like a soldier
or a pawn on a chessboard

streets are filled with pawns
white and black pawns
fools and horses
collapsing towers
and ask the king to abdicate

once you've captured
the last despot
and his seat remained open
do not know what to put in his place

pioni albi ş i pioni negri

care dă râmă turnurile

după ce l-am luat prizonier
pe ultimul despot
