The Kolanut Village Poem by I.C Nnaji

The Kolanut Village

I went to another world,
and saw things beyond reality.
My earthly state of mind
couldn't comprehend as I
came in touch with the beauty
of eternity;
that is what I call sanity.

Anxious to be home in record
time, feelings of eagerness
left me trapped in God's time,
I felt a light squeeze.

My heart had too much to bear;
my mind had so much to rear,
on a tent'O plate, so blessed.

What have I to make of those
who are not so pleased with
the natural beauty of their
surroundings?

In the shades of greens,
willows groom; ants gyrate.
The cloud supervise, heavenly
rain; served on a tent'O plate
of a sober hospitality.
