The Knock

Salvation’s knocking doors today
Christ’s visiting your street
God’s calling out to those astray
To sit at Jesus’ feet

Those rich and poor the strong and weak
The deaf, the dumb and blind
God’s calling proud and spirit meek
And those yet sick of mind

God’s Lamb is here to open eyes
Our broken hearts to heal
To free us of the devil’s ties
And show us that He’s real

Though sinner, saint, anointed priest
The church who dance and sing
God’s calling ALL to Heaven’s feast
Where Christ is Lord and King

The Lord Almighty’s knocking doors
God’s calling us to live
If you my friend will answer yours
Eternal life He’ll give

We all must learn to understand
Though Christ has come to bless
Life’s key is only in the hand
Of those who answer “yes”

Yet arrogance will answer “no”
The proud will have no share
There’s but one place such fools can go
And God my friend’s not there

Where Jesus is, there’s also peace
There’s freedom, joy and love
Life’s abundance will never cease
For those who dwell above
