The Jumbo Roll Poem by Tony Adah

The Jumbo Roll

It was a giant roll
And the eatery called it
A jumbo pie
I ate it and drank a coke with it
And never will dream of it
For as I talk of it now
My tummy is filled again.
As I ate it
Its stuffing loosely packed
Rained down the table
Like ripped mangoes
Falling in a storm
Peas, yellow corn minced beef
And stuffs that will make me
Want to belch now
I don't want to be here again
Or when I go
Not for this roll.
