The Joy Of Taking Less Poem by RIC BASTASA

The Joy Of Taking Less

i must be a fool
parting more of what i have
and then given back
something so little
and sometimes
nothing in return

my wife says this is too
much and if i do not change
she might as well
leave me for good

people lack wisdom
it is basic
the more you give
more shall be given
it is not an immediate
grace
i know, it happens most
of the time
without my knowing
it,

God's grace in the most
unexpected places
the beggar that i face today
who knows
is God's angel.
