The Journey Poem by Brian Jefferson

I'm searching for that special someone
Or am I hoping for someone I know to become one
I wonder if she is looking for me
Better yet if we are destined to meet
I ponder on the meaning of love
Thus I look to the heavens above
Sometimes I want to give up the search
And put my heart in the dirt
Because I feel my fate doesn't include another
Who is this mystery girl I seek
Can she change the view of the world to me?
All these thoughts are running through my head
While drying the tears I've shed
However I try to push forward
Even though I'm feeling unsure
Because life has got me down
With that in mind I still have to wear a crown
Not as a king but rather as a man
Who at least has a blueprint rather than a plan
So as I search for the one
I hope her search isn't done
