The Journey Poem by Susan Oxford

The Journey

Rating: 5.0

The time has come to see the end,
my broken heart can not be mend.
Loose the tethers and set me free,
Time to move toward eternity.

Away from this life's pain I roam,
down the path of my journey home.
To learn the lessons destiny has for me,
to become the soul I am meant to be.

The paths I chose that led to strife,
taught the lessons learned in this life.
They bring me to the unknown shore,
leading along the path to evermore.

My time has come to leave this earth,
To continue the journey to my next rebirth.
For the past must in my soul remain,
To strengthen me, not repeat again.

And now this sad life is finally done,
the next begins on the rising sun.
My journey on to what will be...
my hope, my dream, perfect eternity.
