The Jewel Of The Morn Poem by Yasmin Khan

The Jewel Of The Morn

Rating: 5.0

When breeze teases water in the blush of dawn
Rises out of ripples on the heart of the pond
In the embrace of greens in frantic calm
She trembles awaits to be kissed by morn
Creeps out of slumber opens her golden heart
Bathes the Nymph with perfect art
Mysterious beauty as the rise of Venus
Or say rises the North Star above the ocean
Gracefully she sways, sighs for the sun
In love’s deluge quivers his dainty maiden
The rays touch her pouted petals
Aflame, afire in water’s arms she cradles
Her demure petals release musky incense
As she thrills and trills in magical trance
In ripples’ rhythm she dances softly
In husky breaths moves the water lily
Veiled passions quaintly exposed
The morn’s jewel in bloom, an enchanting sight to behold

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
When water lily blooms early in morning, the whole pond is enlivened and it's fragrance spreads around putting minds in trance.
