The Irony Of Restriction Poem by Terrance Tracy

The Irony Of Restriction

THE IRONY OF RESTRICTION

I have an addiction that needs
Restriction.
To overcome this affliction I will
Use restraint whenever I use words
To paint the poems or prose using
Too many words that rhyme with
School boy charm will do much
Harm to a farm of bards, wow!
That is hard when I play that card.

I Suppose this is my downfall that
Makes poets drink a bitter gall is
There any help for this fall?
I will hesitate and not meditate
Before I open the gate and
Saturate the rest of this test.

As I sit and meditate in this world
Of trouble one thought that comes
To mind that has reached the
Depth of my recollections are the
Words that will heal all the woes of
The world and put an end to all
Struggle. If all the political leaders
Would come together as one and
Spend their time thinking this very
Thought provoking thought:
'How come ants do not wear Pajamas? '
