The Iron Cables Laid To Sea Poem by RIC BASTASA

The Iron Cables Laid To Sea

the iron cables
buried underneath cement
to create your
pavement

bleed

in rust and lose their substance
to the sea whose waves

lick

like hands of waves as if to assure
that everything here is

fine.
