The 'Insolvent' Poem by Poet Akinwemimo Idris

The 'Insolvent'

Let the eve sun,
Bid the horizon
Of our hamlet farms.

And moon be adorned
In velvet garment
To market-midst.

The plume of,
Our African lamp
To abay the midges.
While kids, grooved,
With fitting lullaby.

Tonight we are,
To meet midgets
At leafless tree...
To avenge the debtors,
Of our borrowed rights.

*writing ahead of that very day when we are awake from somnolence.
