The Indian Caste System Poem by Daya Nandan

A useless system that some apply, both pathetic and lame,
A system that devalues people and puts our indian culture to shame,
It's the caste system i very well know and hate,
Labeling people for their ancestor's job pretending that it is an act of fate,

In all truth an honesty, these people live in false praise,
They have sinned against both our religion and race,
They mock other people with a held up chin,
Insulting these people on baseless nonsense with an evil grin, ,

We are the children of god born under the same deep blue skies,
Given both functional ears and functional eyes,
The one thing that sets us apart is our knowledge and mind,
Not an ancient system of no use that idiots discriminate and find,

They discriminate humans have they no shame?
Do they think the life of others is just a baseless game?
Every man has the right to stand and breathe on mother Earth's ground,
No man has less human rights than the other, let unity be found,

Don't they know there is more to people, we have so much beauty within,
Don't they realize that this baseless discriminating can be a deadly sin?
Who are they to judge others? they think they are God above?
Because God is divine and doesn't discriminate love,

Here is a reason they say that love is blind,
Because it is not from our skin but an individual's heart and mind,
Just as love is blind and cannot see,
Every man can love anybody, love is meant to be,

Just as they say that beauty is only skin deep,
When this discrimination stops, our hatred and fears can finally sleep,
So, stop mocking the kind people from various walks of life,
Stop looking at them like criminals having a concealed knife,

What use is this caste system if our caste doesn't even match the jobs we work,
Why uphold an ancient system that brings discrimination in the shadows that lurk,
It's separating our brothers and children, its a form of mental abuse,
It only brings hurt and discrimination in our time, this system has no use,

Stop hating as hating only gives rise to more hate,
And never will the rage of this world begin to abate,
We will always be shrouded in chaos and darkness,
And slowly the light will fade and begin will an age of blackness,

Just as the universe is blanketed with stars all so bright,
Every man and woman on mother Earth have the right,
To be treated equally and just as others be given a fair chance,
Have fair shot at life, a fair chance to experience love and romance,

Our faces, skin colour and traditions might be different, even our given name,
But as different as we are on the outside, our essence is the same,
All of us live on the same planet of God and deserve to be treated fair,
Just as every man has the right to breathe the oxygen in the air,

So, please open your eyes and stop these evil and ignorant ways,
Only then will we unite and bring the light of success to our days,
Then will they bless us the angels and god above,
When this discrimination stops the world can finally embrace the power of love,
