The Imagist And The Thespian Poem by Frank James Ryan Jr...fjr

The Imagist And The Thespian

You are a Thespian of stage and fest
I am an Imagist of literary dream
You can sing, dance on Broadway stage
Pour amongst the criics page
But, you'll never paint what you want to say,
Which limits your scope of script 'n play
For a Thespian is all you'll ever be
And with age 'Shalt turn thy back on thee''

I am an Imagist of all lifes themes
I can place myself anywhere I please
I'll take the mundane blank and cold
Turn it into a fiery lightening bolt
Sound and touch are irrelevant to me
When my third-eye is fixed on poetry
I guess an Imagist is all I'll ever be
Truth be told, I'm a soul of imagery

Not to be misunderstood, the above work
is fictional, and my decision to write
this piece in the 1st Person is merely
for purpose of poetic style & certainly
not for purposes of self gratification.
Well, OK, for the most part............LoL!
