“the Hymn Of The Two Souls” Poem by Munia Khan

“the Hymn Of The Two Souls”

Celebrate in songs

Beyond its depth

One soul dreams

Of the distance’s death

Celebrate in love

Beyond all bearing

The other soul dares

The days of daring

One soul lays here

The other soul’s there

The interval of space

Ignores time's stair

The abundance of pain

Craves for their nearness

Two crystalline souls

Are alone in clearness

One sings for her

The other sings for him

The souls in love

Thus try to redeem

The deserving love

They bear within

Cries in silence

Can hear no din

But love still lives on

For the souls still survive

Weepers of uncertainty

Will remain alive.

Miles are walking

To catch the time

And love has its hope

For two souls sublime.
