The Hungry Poem by Saint Cynosure

The Hungry

Rating: 5.0

We live in laughter,
they live in screams.
We gorge on chocolate,
they beg for beans.
We sleep in comfort,
they sit in dirt.
We ignore their suffering,
turn away from their hurt.
Our money goes,
to building a bomb.
We insist that its needed,
to bring about calm.
They cry from hunger,
their belly's in pain.
Why our dogs eat better,
and so our drains.
Ive not the answer,
don't know of a cure.
But the world could be better,
that is for sure.

So true and the more that express it the best chance we have of changing things for the better. Loved this slice of politics to try for, smiling at you, Tai
