The Harsh Reality Poem by Meena Mustafa

The Harsh Reality

Rating: 4.9

I close my eyes and dream a dream
Life is not all what it may seem
But dreams do often take us away
from this world where we live today
I too have travelled a mile far away
not knowing the real world i should say
I dreamt of walking on a primrose path
it was a dream that didn't much last
The thorns were scattered on the way
Made it hard to walk it's way
The harsh reality we must all face
that life is a game for those who play safe
Yet it could stike and leave you alone
This is what destiny has shown
The end is bitter if not sweet
for those who lie and keep it discreet
No prays will work nor pilgirmage i say
Allah knows it all for you betrayed.

A nice poem on the journey of life. Playing it safe was not a good idea though.

Lovely poem Meena - perhaps life is just a dream, thought-provoking.

Very good, I like this one. Life is not what it seems at all.
