The Hammock Poem by Rhonda Baker

The Hammock

Below the willows canopy
There is a hammock, and on it me
Through the branches I watch the sky
And once in awhile a single cloud pass by
The sun is strong on these summer days
With searing heat and assaulting rays
As I lay there trying to escape the heat
Listening to my ipod beat
