The Half Opened Door Poem by Mehreen Mujeeb

The Half Opened Door

I have lost the key to me heart
Someone has stolen it

Everyone’s twisted fingers are pointing at me
And to my shame

Judging by what they see
By the stories they are told
They humiliate me
My heart was stolen
It wasn’t sold!

The key only opened one door
One side of the story
The other half is kept inside
And a half truth is but a lie
