The Green World

The world once was a green earth

It looked so beautiful then

The birds sang in the trees

The Sun arose with delight

There were many fields in the world

It was clean and not polluted

The world had a pure atmosphere

The world was not so rough as now.

Poet's Notes about The Poem

It is my dolour that the world is daily changing and changes are going to bad direction. For heavy industry and pollution, the nature losses its beauty gradually, as well as minds of men along.

poet Sir Walter Scott

The moon's on the lake, and the mist's on the brae,
And the Clan has a name that is nameless by day;
Then gather, gather, gather Grigalach!
Gather, gather, gather Grigalach!
