The Golden Touch Poem by Sam Byron

The Golden Touch

you make me laugh,
you make me smile,
you make me cry,
you make me angry,
but,
the truth is

fighting with you
is the best thing
that has ever
happened
to me

I get lost
in your eyes,
and
I always
find
myeslf thinking
about you.

your
that tap
on my shoulder,
your
that
coming home feeling,

I tell you things,
I never
say out loud.

I talk
to hear the
sound of your voice.

my thoughts
seem to seek
your silent approval.

do you know?
do you see?

whenever
I am
with you
you
are
the only one
I see,
the only one
I want,
the only one
for me,

I stutter,
I stumble,
and your
always there
to catch me

you,
have a heart
of gold
you,
have a touch
of fire
you,
have a smile
to melt my heart
you,
have a figure
to make me weak at the knees

I want you
to be

my best friend,

my one and only companion,

my very life,

my every breath,

and
I want you
to be
forever mine.
