The God Is Great
I heard Allah –o-akbar* from near by mosque
“The God is powerful and great” literally true
Little after it I witness team of hymn singers
“Om shanty”* let there be peace in the ears of listeners
I continue to wonder about great messages
What a magic in words for groups of all ages!
If only followed with earnest without specially assigning
The reasons or giving one name for aligning
It sinks us further if we make conflict
Impose will and intend injury to inflict
It is treachery and deception in the name of religion
Let each religion spare the controversial regions
Spread the message without hesitation
But do not spoil the harmonious relation
Let people live with sound health and inhale
The holy fragrance with no restriction to tell
No God may be offended if you have fear
Leave it to almighty for any sacrilege o bear
He may take decision when you visit his door
Until then you stay here as devotee and poor
He has consented to act together
Go to him if any difficulty is near
He is there to solve with universal counsel
Just pray for good and everything will go well

Schnapp, Jr.8 hours ago This is one of the first poems I've had the pleasure to rate & read that addresses the religion of Islam and the many millions if not billions whom follow this great path... The abovesaid God, The Creator, The Great Spirit, First-mover and so on and so forth goes by many different languages (tongues) yet, if you take the time to really investigate these religions- nay: every religion the world has known, there run amongst and betwixt them certain truths and teachings... many of our Christian folk would readily recognize the so-called golden rule which is in essence: Do unto others as you would have them do to you. and any other number of comparable sayings and teachings... One minor religion oft overlooked are the Bahai's whom follow The Bob which was their most recent prophet whom was incarcerated and died in Arab prisons in the late 1800's sadly. So it is with absolute equity that I rate this submitted poem four (4) stars this day and primarily due to its underlying message, Cheers, -Joe
