The Gnat Poem by peter godfrey

The Gnat

The Gnat

A G-nat?
A G-nat - whatever is that?
Just a smaller winged G-nu?
That can fly
Or just flew
Until you
Like the Akond of Swat
Swatted the lot
As they gathered to plot
In their aerial Commons
Or house of G-nats.
But their spirits will haunt you.
Tickle and bite you
Sometimes in mourning
And sometimes at night.
Best leave well alone.
Let the puzzle remain
G-nats and G-nus
May just be the same.
