The Ghost Of Ptolemy Poem by Nicholas Abaddon

The Ghost Of Ptolemy

Rating: 1.0

I arrived at a small town upon completion of the serpentine road,

A watchman approached and called to me, ”you have braved the trail? ”

“yes I have! ” I called to the small man who resembled a toad.

the man approached, “Why? Have you not heard of our towns tale? ”

I to him, ”I have. you are in need of someone to expel a demon? ”

and he to me, ”Aye! We have tried all manner of things, including old Mystic Sir Reamon! ”

I steeled my resolve upon hearing the news.

I to him, ”Tell me, is it demons from the Dark One? Goblins? Or perhaps Ghouls? ”

He to me, ” Ptolemy escaped from hell and has unleashed his unholy wrath upon us poor fools! ”

And I to him, ” come! Take me to Ptolemy and I shall vanquish this Deamonic Ruse.”

He to me, ”Come then my friend and I shall take you to the house of hell! ”

Oh reader the sinking fear I felt i cannot explain, but the rest is my duty to tell.

After hours, my guide and I came to a great yawning cave

My guide spoke to me, ” Be careful or you will surely die! ”

Confidently I strolled into the cave and bellowed the name of the vile nave,

At last he came out from the dancing shadows and snarled as he stared in my eye.

I drew the Clavicles of Solomon as a pistolier and read to vanquish him and his gain

The Cave and beast alike howled in agony then Ptolemy flew into the air on his way to hell Again!
