The Ghost Poem by Edward Grey

The Ghost

I float through this world without friend to my name
Why I am here I cannot explain
I try to be nice, but am just ignored
No one can see and I cannot explain
the terrible excruciating pain

I have tried
But no one can see
The true person inside of me
I float through this world
To no one can I explain
My true feelings
My hurt and my pain

So here I sit
The only friend that I have
My computer my words
They are the only ones that know
To the true extent of what I could show
The hero that is inside of me
Writhing in agony
Trying so hard to get out

I just want a friend
Someone who will se
The true nature inside of me
To share my hurt and my pain

Is it too much to ask
To have someone see
What I am, what I could be
Acquaintances are fine
They are all well and good
But when the time comes
Will they see
The true nature in me

My friends don’t care
I am just there
They talk about all their problems
Ask for help to heal their wounds
But as for me
They do not wish to see
Or at least they do not even consider me
