*****the Garden Of Eden Poem by Coach Roth

*****the Garden Of Eden

Rating: 2.5

Eve did not tempt Adam
with the apple from the
tree of life...
she was the forbidden fruit...
not the apple...
and he ate her voraciously...
till God scolded them
for what they had done...
And Adam said
'Excuse me? What did you expect? '
God was not amused,
and banished them from paradise...
but Adam had the last laugh
as he and Eve ran naked
through the forest.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

You are right, Coach Roth, surely Eve was the apple God sent to Adam. Adam got it right and ate her ‘voraciously'. I believe that is exactly what God wanted him to do. But he feigned otherwise

:) well well - Adam made a grab for Eve, but she was actually made from his own rib. So he wanted to be complete work again, taking back what once belonged to him :) . You have made a vivid new interpretation of the first criminal story in the human history, detective Coach, neglecting the apple and snake
