The Game Of Life Poem by Janis Land Raymer

The Game Of Life

Fear...
of the unknown
the questions unanswered
Anticipation...
of the yet to come
the questions being answered
Life is what you make it
There's ups and downs
ins and outs
but life can only beat you
if you refuse to play it out
just as in any game
there are
rules
fans
scores
fouls
losses and
wins
all to be relived
in our mind's eye
when the game comes to an end
don't sell yourself short
don't settle for second best
for second place is only
the very first...
loser.
