The Gambit Of Heaven Above Poem by Mark Heathcote

The Gambit Of Heaven Above

Bring me Stolen a Song of Silence
Passed between two lovers' eyes
Bring me the white dove's effervescence.
That I may never die.

Bring me the wings of an angel's heart.
As might I to an ancient course take part
Bring me the heart of unlicensed love.
Though it is the hinge that time never unlocked
Though told the door would be held wide and unblocked.
