The Functions Of The Mind Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

Being swayed by the left half
of his God-built brain,
he is violent and aggressive.
Reasons he had of his own
to silence the voice of his tuneful wife
when her spiritual rhymes
flowed out of the threshold
of his lovely abode;
he simply slit the throat
of his emotional, creative wife
who was guided by the right
hemisphere of her brain.

Languishing in the jail,
he learnt to design detailed plans
to kill the people and escape
the claws of laws
and sold them to some clients.
Do the Government have no
obligation to identify the portions
of his brain controlling the functions
of his analytic mind and change them
into mild features
for the welfare of the society?
