The Friend Poem by Marwan Daou

The Friend

The sun,
The moon,
The space and its kingdom,
The white rose in the universal dark wisedom,
The clear mirror and educator,
The tender fingers of wine and senses follow father-heart,
The unspoken words which heal and cheer,
The tongue of letters which needles the conscience,
The smooth leaf,
The oriental widow,
The phone caller,
The sweet anger and the angry anxious,
The-seven-coulors-of-Spring’s the-truest-metaphore,
The pain of forgiveness,
One smile please…
The pure shot of faith and the requiem for loneliness,
The forever song into eternity’s face,
The Un-deceivable deceitless,
The pure vein,
The silken-care,
The highway of free a-lot-traffic intelligence, to infinity.
The meaning of shoulders,
…The friend!
