The Four Of Hearts Poem by Maurice Rowlands

The Four Of Hearts

Your heart is made of stone
Of earth, of bone
A heart I must leave alone
You are not my true love

Your heart is made of air
Free spirited, no care
A heart I cannot share
You are not my true love

Your heart is made of liquid
No strength, too insipid
A heart that’s far too frigid
You are not my true love

Your heart is made of fire
Of lust, of desire
A heart...
A heart...
A heart...

You are not my true love

Why?

As I said

Your heart is made of fire
