The Forgotten Parent Poem by Dominic George

The Forgotten Parent

Down on the knees to pray
Old bone without bliss at bay
Sad thorn piercing today
Alone eating cheese and hay

Newborn shall kiss the day
Upon this holiday
When I'm gone; so please come stay
When I'm gone; so please come stay
